Our models
We have a decade to stop climate change. We must find urgent, viable and scalable answers, based on regenerative thinking and triple impact systems!
Forests capture 30% of greenhouse gases, but we have deforested more than a third of all the world's forests.
How can we restore more quickly and sustainably the 2 billion hectares of degraded ecosystems and forests? With PlantArg, we launched an initiative with the mission of restoring and reforesting areas that have been completely deforested and then transforming them into reserves or national parks.
How can we rescue forests that are going to be cleared for agriculture and ranching purposes? To respond to this, at PlantArg we work with NGO’s to buy hectares with native forests that are destined for clearing. By preventing these lands from being cleared, carbon loss is prevented and soils, waters, trees, and biological diversity are conserved.
How can we effectively involve the private sector in forest landscape restoration and regenerative development? To avoid soil degradation and forest loss, we must develop creative and sustainable forestry and agricultural solutions that allow us to generate social, environmental and economic value.
At PlantArg we work with companies to adopt agroforestry, silvopastoral and forestry models where we seek to offset carbon emissions and generate high value products in a sustainable way.
